The Wet Mountain State

Rain kicked our collective butts yesterday as the wife and I camped with friends at Lake St. Catherine State Park in western Vermont. The whole state is soaked and covered in mosquitoes.

But there is hope. We’re expecting great weather for the rest of the week with a few chances for thunder boomers in the afternoon. Alison and I are heading for the Long Trail for a day hike tomorrow, and later in the week, I have my boots and pack ready for Mount Mansfield, Vermont’s tallest peak.

Spending the day walking around Manchester Center and then swimming in Lake St. Catherine. One thing you can always take comfort in is that eventually, even if you’re in the tropics, the rain will eventually stop.

Live it up!
