Compass Points TV takes you paddling down the Río Pacuare to the idyllic Pacuare Lodge in Costa Rica. This eco-lodge has been lauded by top outdoor publications as a slammin’ good adventure location. The only way for you and your luggage to get there – and back home again – is to raft the Río Pacuare’s Class III and IV rapids. While your meals are gourmet and accommodations among the most relaxing in the world, Pacuare Lodge is teeming with adventures requiring your adrenaline.

The main star of Nacional Parque Volcán Arenal in Costa Rica is the 5,400-foot high smoking volcano, but its neighbor, the once volcanic but now dormant Cerro Chato, provides some spectacular experiences of its own. Be forewarned, however – Although Cerro Chato is at 3,800 feet above sea level smaller than Arenal Volcano, hiking to Chato’s lagoon is no easy walk.
